Unfortunately, there’s no ETA available as to when this improvement will eventually go live, but we will keep an eye on the Microsoft 365 roadmap to let you know as soon as an update is available for users. Live events in Microsoft Teams support the automatic recording setting, but users need to rely on third-party solutions for meetings. The ability to automatically record meetings is one of the top requested features, and it’s already available in Teams rival Zoom. The app will display a small pop-up on the screen to notify participants that this meeting is being recorded by the organizer. With this feature enabled, Microsoft Teams will start recording automatically when the meeting starts. The new capability will enable hosts to turn on the automatic recording option directly in the app Settings. The company has recently confirmed on its UserVoice forum that it’s actively working on this feature, and it’s coming soon to the Teams desktop apps (via Windows Latest). ![]() Microsoft Teams is adding a feature that will allow users to record their meetings automatically.
